Clarksville, TN – Senior setter Kristen Stucker, of the Austin Peay State University ( APSU )volleyball team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.
The Johnston, Iowa native earned her conference-record 16th Ohio Valley Conference Setter of the Week honor after posting 134 assists (13.4 per set) and piloting the Govs to a .219 attack percentage at the Blue Raider Bash last weekend. In pushing the Govs to 6-0 on the season—the program’s best start since 1986—to earn her second all-tournament honor in as many weekends.
She opened the tournament with a 35-assist performance against host Middle Tennessee, followed that with 41 assists and 11 digs against Stetson and closed out her time in Murfreesboro, TN with 58 assists and 12 digs for a second-straight double-double.
The Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week is selected by the APSU Sports Information staff each Wednesday during the academic year. Copies in a Flash, of Clarksville, sponsors the award.
Other notable performances by Austin Peay athletes included:
- Sophomore Thomas Porter, of the men’s cross country team, led the Govs with a 12th-place finish and personal-best 16:32.58 mark at the season-opening Saluki Invitational in Carbondale.
- Senior linebacker Gunnar Scholato, of the football team, tied for the team lead with seven tackles at third-ranked Georgia and was credited with a half-tackle for loss against the Bulldogs.
