Dayton, OH – Austin Peay State University women’s tennis team fought valiantly, but lost narrowly by a 4-3 score line, Friday, at the Five Seasons Sports Club.
The Govs (1-4) once again only played with five players, which gave the Flyers (5-4) an automatic point at No. 6 singles. However, Dayton answered back with a win at No. 5 singles, making the score 3-1. Yanes Garcia and Helena Kuppig turned in clutch performance for APSU, winning at No. 1 and No. 3 singles, respectively, to tie the match up at 3-3, but Dayton won the point and the match at No. 4 singles.
