Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Gas and Water Department (CGW) has planned a road closure on Tuesday, May 9th, 2023 at 8:00am on Madison Street from South Seventh Street to University Avenue for water service line repair.
The southbound turning lane on University Avenue between Commerce Street and Madison Street will also be closed during the work.
Traffic will be detoured to Cumberland Drive and South Seventh Street to avoid the work zone. Motorists are advised to slow down and be alert to workers and their equipment or choose an alternate travel route.
The water service line repair is anticipated to be finished, and the road and the lane reopened by approximately 2:00pm.ÂÂÂÂÂ
