City of Clarksville to host Women’s History Month Panel at the Roxy Regional Theatre, March 22nd

Event reflects on 2022 theme of “Providing Healing, Promoting Hope”

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville would like to invite you to its first Women’s History Month panel discussion to pay tribute to the ongoing work of women caregivers and frontline workers who were and continue to be at the forefront of the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic.

On Tuesday, March 22nd, at 5:00pm, inside the Roxy Regional Theatre on 100 Franklin Street, five extraordinary women from Clarksville will share their voices with the community.

The special event reflects on this year’s theme of  “Providing Healing, Promoting Hope” to remind us of all women’s critical roles during the pandemic; and how their compassionate treatments led the way to mend division, heal wounds, and find peaceful solutions.

This event was made possible through the sponsorship of CDE Lightband, Walk of Love Ministry, Roxy Regional Theater, Cookies by Kelsey Cota, and a silent sponsor. City Communications, in partnership with the Clarksville Neighborhood & Community Services Department, is hosting the event as part of the City’s initiative to be more inclusive, equitable, and diverse.

“We have a myriad of phenomenal women who played a critical role in our City during COVID-19; and what better way to highlight their efforts and contributions to our community than a panel discussion during Women’s History Month,” said City Communications Director Linda Gerron. “On March 22nd, we will hear about their triumphs and challenges. They will also share how to build trust and persevere in the face of adversity, and best of all, help us to continue to grow as leaders.”

The panel will include five local women from various leadership positions who will share their independent efforts with the audience and provide general advice for all emerging and current female leaders in Clarksville.

The panelist will include:

  • Cynthia Pitts, Founder of Walk of Love Ministry and Women of Clarksville

  • Lt. Col. Amy M. Thompson, Division Surgeon with 101st Airborne Division

  • Valerie Guzman, Chief Executive Officer of United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region
