Montgomery County Health Council
Montgomery County, TN – On Tuesday, February 19th, 2019, Sanjana Stamm, Regional Director of the Tennessee Department of Health Mid-Cumberland Region, presented an appreciation award to the Montgomery County Health Council for its work promoting the health and well being of all citizens of Montgomery County.
The Montgomery County Health Council is comprised of volunteers that represent various organizations within the County.
These individuals meet monthly and work together to promote health and wellness through the initiatives they undertake.
The Council’s current initiatives include promoting safe sidewalks to local schools, distributing smoking quit kits and creating a comprehensive list of local mental health providers that will be available to the public later this year.
The appreciation award recognizes the hard work that the Montgomery County Health Council has done over the past year and the impact it has had on the community. The award will be displayed at the Montgomery County Health Department.
The Montgomery County Health Council meets on the third Tuesday of each month on the second floor of the Montgomery County Health Department. All meetings are open to the public.
