Clarksville Civil War Roundtable
Clarksville, TN – The next meeting of the Clarksville (TN) Civil War Roundtable will be on Wednesday, July 18th, 2018 at the Bone & Joint Center, 980 Professional Park Drive, right across the street from Tennova Healthcare. This is just off Dunlop Lane and Holiday Drive and only a few minutes east of Governor’s Square mall.
The meeting begins at 7:00pm and is always open to the public. Members please bring a friend or two – new recruits are always welcomed.
Topic: “A “Devil” Of A Situation: Forrest’s Attack on Fort Pillow”
Our speaker this month is Dr. Brian S. Wills, Civil War historian and author in a return engagement.
Dr. Wills is the director of the Civil War Center at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. He is an award winning Civil War author and historian with a number of books to his credit.
One of his recent books is about this month’s program – The River was Dyed with Blood: Nathan Bedford Forrest and Fort Pillow (Oklahoma, 2014).
