Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) student Jillian Vogel, a music major and German minor, was selected to receive the Clarksville Edelweiss Club Scholarship for the 2016-17 academic year.
Vogel was honored during an awards ceremony at the Edelweiss Clubhouse on June 8th, and received a certificate from Bob Perkins, president of the Clarksville Edelweiss Club.
The Clarksville Edelweiss Scholarship grants $500.00 per year. Students must be German majors or minors at APSU.The Clarksville Edelweiss Club is a not-for-profit organization and was founded to uphold and promote German heritage and tradition.

Clarksville Edelweiss Club was formed on January 9th, 1981, by the State of Tennessee as a not-for-profit organization, for the purpose of upholding and promoting German heritage and tradition.
Their Club presently has members of both German and American decent. But you dont have to be German decent to be a member. Edelweiss Club is a social center for folks of a common hertage and their friends. It is a place where you can have fun, sing, dance, meet friends, and make new ones.
