Clarksville, TN – On Wednesday, May 4th, 2016, Pisgah Elementary School, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and the Clarksville Police Department’s Traffic Unit joined children and families for their bike rides to school on National Bike to School Day.
National Bike to School Day was created to provide an opportunity for schools across the nation to join together to celebrate the energy of National Bike Month.

The Pisgah Elementary students along with Principal Sallie Oden, Assistant Principal Amy Williams, Physical Education Teacher Ben Griffy, and a few Fort Campbell Soldiers biked from the Clarksville Speedway on Needmore Road to the school on Hazelwood Road.

As the student bikers arrived at the school, they were met by their teachers holding signs in support of the event.
The CPD’s Motorcycle Patrol led the event while other CPD Officers biked with the children and blocked the roadways and MCSO Student Resource Officer Marci Oliver led traffic onto the school premises.
