Clarksville, TN – On Sunday, October 25th from 1:00pm-4:30pm, the 3rd Annual Pit Bull Awareness Day will be held at Pet Food Center located at 2243 Lowes Drive, Clarksville, TN.
This event is held to bring awareness about the misconception of bully breeds and raise funds specifically earmarked to provide free or greatly reduced cost spay/neuter surgeries to owners of bully breeds and mixes in an effort to reduce euthanasia and increase adoptions of pit bulls in the Clarksville-Montgomery County area.
There will be live music, food trucks, contests, rescues with adoptables, and so much more!
Event Details
- Live Music will be provided by Backroad Brigade. Proposed staging will be atop a 16 ft. trailer with proper hookups
- “Dress Your Bully” Contest will require a donation to enter with the winner receiving their dog’s face on two educational billboards in Clarksville, and will also include different categories such as “Best Kisser”, “Wild Child”, etc.
- Adoptable pit bull & mixes on-site with bully-friendly and bully-specific rescue organizations, including our local Animal Control shelter, Companion Pet Rescue, and Two Ladies Caring
- Silent Auction with donations from generous donors as well as local organizations
- “Kiss-a-Bull” kissing booth will allow attendees to donate $1.00 to receive a big sloppy kiss from one of our lovable bullies.
- Professional Photography will be onsite provided by Jordan Larissa Williams (pet and contest photography), and Sbiene Harris (event photography).
- Local Vendors will be invited to set up with homemade dog treats, reduced cost nail trimming, etc.
Please note: All proceeds raised by this event will be used to give out free/greatly reduced spay/neuter vouchers for owners of pit bull and pit bull type dogs. Thank you everyone for your continued support!
