Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s tennis team continues Ohio Valley Conference play when it hosts Morehead State in a 2:00pm, Friday contest before taking on Eastern Kentucky in a 2:00pm, Saturday match at the Austin Peay Indoor Tennis Center.
The Lady Govs enter the weekend with a 2-13 record and 0-5 mark in OVC play. In their last match, the Lady Govs dropped a 7-0 decision to SIU Edwardsville last Saturday.Morehead State (5-6, 3-0 OVC) enters the weekend having defeated Belmont and Tennessee State last weekend. The Eagles are led by sophomore Andrea LeBlanc. LeBlanc has picked up a 7-3 record at the No. 1 singles position while earning a 4-2 record in doubles play with sophomore Hayley Wild.
EKU (8-6, 3-0 OVC) enters the weekend having beaten Tennessee State and Belmont last weekend. The Colonels are led by seniors Amandine Faouzi and Kristina Labeja. Faouzi has recorded at 12-2 record at No. 1 singles while Labeja has earned a 9-3 mark at the No. 2 slot. The duo has also recorded a 4-2 record at No. 1 doubles.
After playing the Eagles and Colonels, the Lady Govs will remain home to host Belmont in a 2:00pm, April 2nd contest at the Governors Tennis Courts.
