Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Western Kentucky, Saturday, at the Austin Peay Indoor Tennis Center.
In doubles action, Austin Peay (0-5) the doubles pairing of senior Ornella Di Salvo and sophomore Hannah Tatlock dropped a 6-1 decision to the team Emilia Granstrom and Andreanna Christopoulou at the No. 1 position.
In singles play, the Lady Govs were led by Karac who picked up the Lady Govs only victory of the day with an 8-1 win against Przystawski at the No. 6 position. At the No. 3 slot, senior Vanessa Tavares was able to force a third set before falling to Christopoulou 2-6, 6-1, 6-2 while Tatlock lost a hard fought 6-4, 6-4 match to Tereza Hejlova at No. 2 singles.
The Lady Govs return to the court with a 1:00pm, Friday, February 13th contest against Lipscomb Lady Bisons at the Austin Peay Indoor Tennis Center.
