Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce will host the 22nd Annual Veterans Day Breakfast on Saturday, November 8th at 7:30am at APSU’s Morgan University Center.
The breakfast is not only an excellent opportunity to honor and show support of our veterans, but also a chance to hear from a notable guest speaker.This year Major General Gary J. Volesky, commander of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and Fort Campbell, will serve as the keynote for the morning.
Before being stationed at Fort Campbell, MG Volesky served as the U.S. Army Chief of Public Affairs. In this position he was responsible for all communication issues involving the United States Army.
MG Volesky is an infantry officer who has commanded Soldiers at all levels up to brigade level. He has deployed in support of Operations Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
He is a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, as well as the Air War College at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Washington University and a master’s degree from Princeton University.
MG Volesky is happily married to LeAnne Volesky and they are proud parents to their son Alex, who is a junior at Fort Campbell High School.
