Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan will join the City of Clarksville Office of Housing and Community Development to host a Homeless Solutions Forum on Tuesday, May 20th, 2014 from 9:00am–3:00pm.
The forum will be held at Freedom Point in Liberty Park.
The forum’s goal is to provide information on available homeless programs in Clarksville, with a special emphasis on homeless veterans programs.“We are so fortunate to have so many agencies in our area that are committed to assisting our homeless community,” said Mayor McMillan. “By working together, we can do more to reach this community and to maximize the available resources. I appreciate Keith Lampkin and the staff of the Office of Housing and Community Development for their work in presenting this important forum.”
Various agency representatives will provide information about homelessness and possible solutions in the Clarksville area. The agencies involved include The Department of Veterans Affairs, Housing and Urban Development, Community Action Agency, Urban Ministries, Radical Missions, Safeharbor, Operation Stand Down Middle TN., Centerstone, Soldiers and Families Embrace, and Buffalo Valley. Dr. Toi Dennis, PHD will be moderate the program.
