Paris, TN – Donny Everett continued his hot start on the mound for Clarksville High School’s baseball team, March 31st, as he limited District 10-AAA opponent Henry County High School to one hit in a 10-0, five-inning victory.
With the win, Clarksville High improves to 13-1 overall and 5-0 in district play.
The Wildcats would take command of the game right from the start with the Patriots by scoring six first-inning runs and finishing with 10 total hits – including five doubles.
Those first-inning runs were more than enough for Everett (4-0), who only gave up a double to Henry County’s Drake Walker for the Patriots only hit in the game, while striking out seven and walking one.Offensively, Landon Mosteller and Everett led the Wildcats with two hits each – including a double — while Brady Cook, Teal Young and Ryan Streeter also recorded doubles for CHS.
Streeter and Nolen Milton had two RBIs each.
Walker took the complete-game loss for Henry County, giving up 10 hits and a walk. He struck out two.
The two teams will meet again April 1st, at the CHS Baseball Field at 6:30pm, in the final game of their two-game series.
