Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University junior second baseman Jordan Hankins was named Preseason Field Player of the Year by CollegeSportsMadness.com, Tuesday, one of Govs baseball players recognized on the online publication’s preseason OVC teams.
The preseason All-OVC teams are a part of College Sports Madness’ preview of the upcoming 2013 baseball season. The all-conference team selections will lead up to the Madness Baseball 2013 Preseason All-America Teams to be released at a later date.
The Govs open their 2013 season in 24 days with a February 15th contest against Iowa that is the start of a three-game series against the Hawkeyes. It is the first of 33 schedule home games for the Govs which is part of a larger 56-game schedule.
