Clarksville, TN – Eve Ensler’s touching, often hilarious series of monologues about women and performed by women has played to packed houses around the country, and the Roxy Regional Theatre’s production of “The Vagina Monologues” — beginning its eleventh year on Friday, January 11th, at 8:00pm — is no exception.
Leslie Greene and Adriane Wiley-Hatfield are joined by a different guest actor each week in readings of these monologues based on interviews Eve Ensler conducted with 200 women about their views on sex, relationships, and violence against women.
Week One will feature Tennessee artist Amber Wallace; Week Two will feature Allie Michael, administrative assistant of Academic Affairs at Austin Peay State University; Week Three will feature Jill Eichhorn, professor of Women’s Studies at Austin Peay State University; and Week Four will feature Courtney Berlyak, partner at Sango Village Florist.“The Vagina Monologues” is presented in theotherspace, the 50-seat black-box theatre located upstairs at the Roxy, and runs January 11th through February 2nd, playing Thursdays at 7:00pm and Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm.
