Fort Campbell, KY – Family and MWR along with the University of Phoenix are bringing a Winter Wonderland to Fort Campbell on the first weekend in December. On December 1st, from 9:00am until 5:00pm, and on December 2nd, from 12:00pm until 4:00pm, you and your Family can wander through the Outdoor Recreation area and celebrate the season.
Activities will take place at the Fort Campbell Riding Stables, Destiny Park and Sportsman’s Lodge. Please park your vehicle at Sportsman’s Lodge with overflow parking at the old arena across from the main Outdoor Recreation Building.
You are welcome to walk between areas or ride the bus for free between activities. On December 1st, at Sportsman’s Lodge, view the FRG Gingerbread House Contest entries and then vote for your favorite one on the Fort Campbell MWR Facebook page by clicking “Like” under the photo. Bring your camera to take advantage of Winter Wonderland themed photo locations. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. No ATM on site.
At the Fort Campbell Riding Stables, you’ll find Santa and his sleigh available for free photos. Your child can take a Reindeer (pony) Ride for $3.00 or ages 10 and over can take a buy one get one (BOGO) trail ride – two people ride for only $20.00. You’ll also find free hay rides at the Stables, courtesy of USAA.
Wander on over to Destiny Park and lace up some ice skates because that’s where the free (skates included!) ice skating rink will be located. If you bring your camera, you can take a photo in the life-size snow globe (only available on Saturday). When you’re tired from skating, let the kids make some free crafts while you enjoy the live entertainment.
Thank you to our sponsors for making this program possible: University of Phoenix and USAA.
