Tennessee Senate Republican Caucus
Nashville, TN – Republican candidates for state Senate have a massive financial lead going in to the final days of their campaigns according to reports posted on the Tennessee Registry of Election Finance’s website.
The reports, released late Wednesday, show Republican candidates with an over 2-to-1 cash on hand lead going into the final days of the campaign season.
“The financial lead our candidates have achieved shows that the Republican message of smaller government, lower taxes, and more jobs is drawing support from across the political spectrum,” Senate Republican Caucus Executive Director Jordan Young said today.
Republicans in contested races have outraised Democrats $1,887,266.99 to $861,176.67 since January 1st, showing massive financial strength and organization.
More telling is the Republican candidates cash on hand lead of $1,261,981.02 compared to Democrats’ $579,765.35, showing Republicans are well-positioned going into the final month of the campaign.

“Our Republican candidates are in excellent shape going into the final month of the campaign, which shows the strength of our message, organization, and candidates,” Young said. “The strong cash position our candidates have clearly shows that Tennessee is ready to elect candidates that know how to grow Tennessee’s economy, create more jobs and work with the Republican majority and Governor Bill Haslam to move Tennessee forward.”
“These numbers make it clear that Tennesseans have had enough of President Obama and his liberal Democrat friends running for state Senate here in Tennessee,” Young concluded.
