Season Opener Slated For April 4th At Greer Stadium
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds announced their 2013 playing schedule today and will host 72 games at Greer Stadium during their 36th season of competition.
The Sounds will open and close the campaign at home, kicking off the Pacific Coast League season on Thursday, April 4th when they take the field at Greer against the New Orleans Zephyrs and concluding the year with a four-game series against the division-rival Iowa Cubs that culminates on Labor Day.
Daily game times at Greer Stadium will remain the same as last season. Monday through Friday games will begin at 7:05pm, Saturday games will begin at 6:35pm, and Sundays will start at 2:05pm through June 16th and at 6:35pm from June 30th through the end of the season.
The Sounds will play five weekday day games in 2013: 11:05am contests on Tuesday, April 23rd; Wednesday, May 8th; and Tuesday, May 14th; a 2:05pm matinee on Memorial Day (Monday, May 27th); and a 12:05pm season finale on Labor Day (Monday, September 2nd).
The Pacific Coast League continues its use of an unbalanced 144-game schedule format in 2013. The Sounds will play 16 games (eight home, eight away) against teams in their own conference. Nashville will host each of the four Pacific Conference Southern Division teams – Fresno, Las Vegas, Sacramento, and Tucson – in four-game series at Greer Stadium. The Sounds will travel to each of the four Pacific Northern clubs – Colorado Springs, Reno, Salt Lake, and Tacoma – for four-game sets.

Season ticket plans are currently available for $600.00 per seat, which breaks down to just $8.33 per game – a savings of $5.67 over day-of-game pricing.

The 2013 season will be the Sounds’ 16th year in the Pacific Coast League and their ninth as the Milwaukee Brewers’ top affiliate. The 2013 promotional schedule and road game times will be released at a later date.
