Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department has been investigating the disappearance of Brandon Davone Rushing since he was reported missing on January 24th, 2012. At the time he was reported missing, he was last known to be driving a 2006 Chevy Suburban.
On February 15th, Detective Tim Finley uncovered that an individual known as “Blue”, later identified as Verchaunt Joshua Williams, shot and killed Brandon Rushing in a Clarksville apartment on January 23rd.
The investigation also revealed that Williams had burned the victim and vehicle off of Ashland City Road. On February 16th, a burnt out Chevy Suburban with a body inside was found in a field off McAdoo Creek. The Chevy Suburban which was found belonged to the victim, Brandon Davone Rushing.
Ojawaine Joemese Marbury and Jeffery Mac Jackson were interviewed and admitted to helping Williams dispose of Rushing’s body and vehicle in the area. Williams, Marbury, Jackson, and Rushing have all known each other for several years.
The body from the vehicle was taken to the Medical Examiner for autopsy and verification of identity.
The motivation behind the homicide is still under investigation.
