Clarksville, TN – Nikki Doyle, a junior on the Austin Peay State University volleyball team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.
Doyle, a junior outside hitter, posted double-digit kills in each match of the Lady Govs stay at the MT Blue Raider Bash and now has posted 10 or more kills in seven consecutive matches.
The Santa Maria, CA native, recorded 49 kills in four matches, averaging 3.5 kills per set, while accounting for 52.5 points on the weekend. Doyle had 14 kills in the Lady Govs victory against in-state rival East Tennessee.
The Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week is selected by the APSU Sports Information staff each Tuesday during the academic year. Copies in a Flash, of Clarksville, sponsors the award.

Sophomore Tatiana Ariza, of the women’s soccer team, posted her season’s second hat trick in the Lady Govs home opener, Tuesday, against Union. She scored a goal sparking the Lady Govs to a comeback win, Sunday, against Belmont.
Freshman Cami Fields, of the volleyball team, had 20 or more assists in each of the Lady Govs four matches at the MT Blue Raider Bash. She recorded 44 assists in the Lady Govs four-set loss to Auburn. Then followed that performance with 37 assists in the four-set victory against East Tennessee.
Junior Wesley Kitts, of the football team, had a solid rushing performance at Cincinnati, recording 65 yards on nine carries a 7.2 yard per carry average. Kitts also provided the Governors with their only touchdown.
