Huntsville, AL – Rain was the winner, Monday, in Day 2 of the Chris Banister Golf Classic, being played at Hampton Cove’s Highland Course.
Heavy overnight rains, remnants of Tropical Storm Lee, turned into morning showers in Huntsville, resulting in nearly eight total inches of rain in some areas of North Alabama.
As a result, the second round of the Chris Banister tournament was rained out. The tourney will be reduced to 36 holes, with the final 18 holes being played Tuesday morning with an 8:00am shotgun start.The Lady Govs sit in seventh place after a 331 first round. Samford leads the tourney, shooting a 294 opening round. Host Jacksonville State is in second with a 302.
