Third Pharmacy Robbed in Two Days

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department reports that a third pharmacy, in two days, was robbed yesterday. On July 4th, 2011, around 4:40pm, a man entered the Walgreens at 2109 Wilma Rudolph Blvd and talked on the telephone for several minutes in front of the pharmacy counter.

The conversation seemed to be about different types of medications and the pharmacist attempted to assist the customer. He inquired about several types of medications and finally asked about Oxycontin.

When the pharmacist told him they carried Oxycontin, he told her it was a robbery, demanded Oxycontin, pulled up his shirt and retrieved a handgun from his waist area. The pharmacist gave him two containers with Oxycontin. The robber placed the gun back in his waist area and fled from the store.

The male was described as a White male, 5’6-5’7, mid 20s-early 30s, wearing sunglasses, and a backward ball cap, slender build, and a tattoo on the back of the neck which looked as though it was a blue/black triangle.

Police believe the same man may have been involved in the other pharmacy robberies. Also, earlier in the day, the same man was believed to have been lingering inside of a Rite-Aid on Fort Campbell Blvd for about 45 minutes.
