Stacie Kinder, Titans Director of Cheerleading, admits that the process is not an easy one, but that’s what it takes to find the best women to complete the squad each year.  “We have an incredible variety of women who make up the squad,” said Kinder.  “Some are young college students while others are working professionals and/or full-time mothers.   We want the most well-rounded, dynamic women, both beautiful on the inside and out, that can dance and entertain 69,000 fans at LP Field on Sundays.  I realize that’s a tall order, but we’re very fortunate to have amazing women each year because of this rigorous process.”

With one season already under her belt as a Titans cheerleader and mother to a 3-year-old daughter, Tiffany H. is excited to audition again on Tuesday night. With a background in tap dancing, ballet and cheerleading, Tiffany decided to make a change in her life as an entertainer. She moved to Nashville with an independent record deal as a singer/songwriter and had ridden the highs and lows of the entertainment industry for a decade.  As a married and full-time mother, Tiffany decided to try out for the squad in 2010 as a way to stay connected to her performing roots and get involved in various community and charitable projects, all while being able to dedicate time to raising her daughter. “I’m a mommy by day and cheerleader at night,” said Tiffany H. as she described her lifestyle with the various evening practices, adding that her husband is her biggest fan and gives her incredible support. “He’s a Titans fan, so it makes sense for us. He’s always very supportive and encouraging to me.” Tiffany H. also says that the first time she ran out onto LP Field, she was overwhelmed with the intensity and excitement of the fans screaming for their team. “Being on the squad has definitely been a highlight in my life.”

First-time contestant, Stephanie B. is a 23-year-old Virginia native who moved to Nashville with her company last summer, learned about the auditions in her dance studio class. “I heard about the auditions and thought that being on the squad would a great way to get to know the Nashville, serve the community, network to meet new people,” said Stephanie B. She admits she was raised a Redskins fan, but that she has a genuine passion for the game itself. “Being on the field to cheer would be simply amazing.”

The Titans encourage fans to buy their tickets early and come out for the big show and support the selection of the 2011 squad.  The event will also have music by Greez Monkees and a performance by DC Dance Factory’s Hip Hop Group No Strings Attached.

Tickets are only $10.00 and are now on sale at the Titans Ticket Office located at LP Field near the Titans Pro Shop or available at the door (while they last) the night of the show. Doors open at 5:00pm, with the full Wildhorse Saloon dinner menu available, and the show starts at 7:00pm.
