Fort Campbell, KY – It was a warm Wednesday afternoon when 241 Bastogne and Stike Soldiers Returned on two seperate flights landing just minutes apart. Friends and family gathered in Hanger 3 as members from the 1st & 2nd Brigade Combat Team returned to Campbell Army Airfield after a year long deployment to Afghanistan.
Once the plane was in sight you could hear the screams of excitement as their soldiers were coming home. Just before soldiers could exit the plane, there was another round of cheers as the second plane landed in the background.
Once soldiers from both flights gathered just outside hanger 3 for their march inside where they were given a brief welcome home speech by COL. Bosse prior to being release for 15 minutes of family time. Inside SPC Stepanie Bridges was greeted by her mother Rhonda Bascle, her son Keagan along with Teri Gossett. Also on the flight was her fiancee SGT Ben Miller. They are looking forward to their big day in July when they get married. The couple won a Wedding Give Away from a local radio station that was sponsored by ClarksvilleBrides.com
