Food and Cash Assistance programs for eligible victims to end Friday
The Tennessee Department of Human Services was granted an extension by the USDA to operate the Disaster Food Stamp program for eligible flood victims in 14 counties, including Montgomery. The emergency cash program for eligible storm victims will also be extended in these counties.
The extension request was based on the high volume of applicants at the larger DHS county offices and limited accessibility to other offices.
